Update !!! Okay, you will have noticed my tech skills, including the ability to solve the constant bout of errors and headaches that this page has brought me, have not gone away. For that reason I am looking at depositing this information on a blogger.com site and making it a much more pleasing place to be. Stay tuned !!!

I am an amateur historian in Winnipeg, Manitoba and I have always been fascinated by local history. Winnipeg, once considered “Chicago of the North”, has some great stories to tell and great architecture to show off. I want to use this page as a place to post the things I find interesting and a source of links to other sites for people to learn more.

Unfortunately, my tekkie skills are not up to par so please excuse the page for not being quite what it could be. In time that will sort itself out. One item that I am at a loss for right now is the inclusion of my growing library of historic building pictures.
